90hp johnson NEED HELP

hey guys we have his motor at work we've been workin on for three days myself and a very expierenced tech(eddie holbrook) it is a 2004 johnson 90 four stinroke dont remember the whole model number but it idles a tad bit rough and every time to ease into the throttle it dies...we have checked and reset the IAC valce three times, checked intake and throttle body gaskets for air leaks checked injectors, checked fuel pressure(held 36 pounds at all times) timing and all is good checked the MAP its good/clean and the motor is not throwing any codes we called PAC and they said try a new ECM so they sent a test on and still does the same thing oh yeah when its tryin to die you can gun it a couple times and get it to pick up THANKS

I guess to start way back at the beginning, have you done the very basics? like a compression test, do the plugs all look the same, is the oil OK and not contaminated with water/fuel, before you start on a rampage and play with everything, you need to start with the simple things, you could have 10 faults by now!

we did do all the basics all 4cyl are within 3lbs of each other plugs looked good but we did replace........ but one reason th boat came in was because it was making oil which was due to the fuel pump which we replaced we changed the oil after it didnt have and metal in it was good other than fuel in it...
