Boyesens and Ficht cages are in

Got the reeds in today. The swap wasn't to bad, but I broke one of the balance tubes, so I am down until my replacement gets here. I have it ordered already.

Looked at the cylinders I could see, I still see hone marks, and everything looked nice and clean on the inside. I'd say for a 12 year old engine to still have hone marks, that is pretty good.

One thing I found interesting is the 3 bolts on the inside of the intake, closest to the crank were not tight at all on the starboard side at all. Maybe finger tight at best.

Maybe I will be able to get it out this weekend and see what kind of improvements I get.

    Yeah I will.

Man if I was going to rebuild this engine, I would be hitting this block hard with a grinder. The casting flash is pretty rough. I doubt I would get any HP, but the peace of mind would be nice.

I am just hoping for about 100 more rpms on top, with better punch.
