Oil Alarm Sounds at Idle Speed

I had the VRO changed and carbs rebuilt last year in the spring. When I initially start the motor and it warms up....I can idle around without any problems. If I make a long run......and then need to go through a no wake zone.....the "no oil" alarm will sound off after a few min. idling. I then turn the motor off.......squeeze the oil bulb, which is already rock hard, then start the motor again. It will idle fine for about 5 min.......then the alarm sounds again.

It will last about 10 min. if I'm pushing the boat a littler faster and blowing a wake...........but if I let it idle........the alarm comes on pretty quick.

It happens after I have made a WOT run most of the time.

I've also tired to bleed the oil line by removing the line from the VRO and having someone squeeze the oil bulb. While they are squeezing the bulb and oil is coming out.......I slide the oil line back on the VRO. I have done this twice, and it did seem to help, but this was last year. I thought there may have been an air bubble after the VRO change. But it is still doing it this year.

Any ideas. Sorry for the long post.

If you still have your receipt go back to the dealer and tell them about the issue. BRP should warranty the VRO if it is defective.

When the oil pump was replaced did the dealer check and clean the oil tank?

I actually replaced the oil tank the year prior due to my "low oil" horn going off. LOL!

That problem ended up being a bad system check guage.

I guess I couuld take it back to the dealer and have them check it out. I was assuming it may be something simple that I could take care of.
