    bilge pump question

I have a 99 186DC. The bilge pump seems to be pumping very slow. It's a 500gph MAYFAIR in a 750gph housing. Tried throwing my livewell pump in there (also a 500gph) and got the same results. Should I have a bigger pump or do I probably have a leaky hose? I listened and couldn't hear water dripping or anything...

    Re: bilge pump question (jaycount)

Mine came with a 750 but the difference in 750 or 1000 was so slight I replaced it with the larger one. Also, i replaced my aerator pumps while I had the oil tank and batteries removed.
