    bilge pump question

i have a procraft 180. I absolutely love the boat. Today I decided to check out all of my accessories like the bilge pump, livewells, trolling motor etc. Well, turn out, when I turn on my bilge pump it does not come on. I also checked the livewells and they fill up and aerate fine. But when i put a few gallons in the bilge area to cover teh pump, i get nothing. I'd hate to buy a new bilge pump without knowing for sure. the one that I have now is a Mayfair 800gph. Like i said, it does nothing when I hit the switch but the other 2 that are connected to the livewells work fine. Any suggestions?

can you put a multi-meter on the wires at/near the pump to make sure it's getting ~12 volts? If no power at the pump, check it at the switch and keep working your way back till you find the problems...

It's a Mayfair, pop out the clip and twist out the cartrage the pump housing
will stay in place and you can lift out the pump(cartrage) its-self.
A-lot of times there will be something stuck in the pump like a piece of worm
or a stran off a spinner baite skirt or a stick.

Check the fuse in the rear compartment....should be on the starboard side just below the deck...
