Renegade Bass Ventilation Ring

I just got my (new to me) Renegade Bass Prop in the mail today. I received this Prop from another BBC Member and it is in excellent shape. My question, The plastic vent. ring that he sent with the prop appears to be melted a little on the prongs that go in the lower unit. Should I run this one or call Mark and see if he can get me an aluminum one for the engine. Engine is a 03 Evinrude 200 DI. Prop , as mentioned, is a 25" Renegade Bass prop...Will my engine melt another one of the plastic ones if I get one of those?....Thanks in advance!!

With no model number we don't know which gear case you have.

For the Lightning, 4 hole, and offshore case you need part number 126669 weed/blow out ring.

Chances are that motor could melt the new one some what.

Get the aluminum cav ring from Mark Croxton. I sent the plastic one just for you to try out the prop and get some numbers. You will probably want to send Mark the prop to work and add the PVS holes aned cav ring after you run it and get the numbers.
It will probably blow out on you on hole shot before you get the PVS plugs to tune it.
