My boat has no JP and is a 97 Skeeter witha 97 C150 TLRV, I use 2 props 1 is a 24P and the other a 23P yamaha prop. My RPMS at wot depending on weather with the 23 is 5300-5350 and the 24 is 5200. Speed from 56-59. I use all my trim as it needs it, after hitting WOT and max trim I can tap my trim down 1 bump and watch the speed fall. This tells me after that if the motor was higher and on a JP it would probably run better.

Since I'm not purchasing a JP in the near future my BIL suggested moving my throttle stop a couple of millimeters to raise rpm? He said the motor is good to 5500-6000 befrore it hits the limiter and I'm far from it. I didn't think it was a good idea and decided not to because butterflies open all the way when I mash hotfoot so I can't see this would help, is he a moron? He also said a 21P prop would be better for higher RPM but wouldn't I lose speed? He says he's been around boats his whole life(27 Years old) and knows alot
