    crankshaft postion sensor gap????

    anyone know what the gap is on a cps '98 ficht 175 ???

    0.045 to 0.055.

    Well, I get to bust Rusty's chops and hassle him a bit.

    On a '97 or '98 FICHT, the crank sender needs all the help it can get, so set the gap to around .030-.035 for best results. Those weren't the best design and were low on sesitivity.

    Also make sure your '98 175 is propped for a minimum of 5500 rpm and best to be close to 5800.

    For those of you with different year or hp FICHTS, this info does NOT apply to your motors necessarily.
