I know that everyone is going to get a kick out of my 'jargon' in this next paragraph....

I noticed that sometimes at WOT I would seem to get a little more out of my engine, and other times at WOT it would seem to be a little 'weak'. So, I got to looking around at my throttle cables, throttle 'tower' arm, cams, etc.

I found that when I actuate my throttle lever I was driving the trottle all the way to the stop. Good. However, my 'tower' arm was not dragging my timing base all the way to it's stop (drivers side, right beneath flywheel).

I disconnected the little metal arm linkage and it feels to me that both the timing base, and the tower arm are very free moving. The only thing I can figure (assuming the flywheel should go all the way to the stop at WOT) is that the spring in the 'tower' arm is weak and not tracking the throttle like it should.

Anyone have any advice, or can shed some light on this for me?

I hope my butchering of technical jargon doesn't prevent someone from understanding what I'm trying to say!!

As always, thanks in advance for the help!!
