I recently started having issues where my motor was hard to start and had a rough idle once started but seemed to run fine once I started cruising. I replaced all 4 fuel filters once it started as part of my annual servicing but still had the same issues. This week I pulled the 4 micro basket filters from the HP pump and 2 were very dirty, actually tapped a fair amount of grit out of one. Since I already had it somewhat broke down, I removed the fuel injectors and sent them to Brucato for cleaning/servicing. Found out one was running extremely lean and the other 5 were flooding. Good news is they got all 6 back to spec and should have them back by Friday.
My question is what effects will a flooding injector have on the engine? I suspect that depending on the severity of the flood it could cause the cylinder to not fire but wanted someone elses opinion.
I'll let everyone know if this actually fixes the issue this weekend.
