Previous owner blew up motor because process on the computer board that calls for oil being pumped from oil reservoir to oil cowling quit. Also a ground circuit failed on same board, therefore the alarm buzzer didn't go off. The owner didn't replace the computer board. Instead he installed a manual switch on dash with different colored LEDS. According to what LED is lite, would determine if you use the manual switch. He rebuilt the motor in 2005 and fixed the alarm. The owner is a very good mechanic and the completed work looks great. Would you guys have a problem with purchasing this motor? The boat is very nice, I can't decide if the oiling modification would be OK?
