Yamaha 225 Vmax operating range @ WOT question?

What do you think is a save operating rpm @ WOT. The motor is a 2000 Vmax, 225. I looked up the specs on that motor but they seem low.

Prop it for 5800-5900 wot. The rev limiter is at 6150.

I clicked on the site 21xdc said and it was very cool,the 225 vmax is a strong motor!! Has any one seen a 250 ox66 dyno-tested? If anyone has info please pass it on.Thank you

I'm quite sure these are Powerhead HP readings and not at the prop.

A tinkered 225 efi can push out 300 +, sustainable, reliable, and oh yes, very un-green for the tree huggers.

Yep.... 105 mph Stroker with a 225 OX66 Yammie with some mild HT mods and LU tweaks.

I wouldnt say mine is mild ....but with the Phase bolt on kits 300hp obtainable even with a 200 3.1L Hydro-tec has the Yammies dialed in I will post some picks of the Short-shaft project in the next couple weeks

I was privileged to see a 3.1 with mods in the test tank, 300+. Anyone with a YAM, needing more hp, of course for hypothetical and racing reasons only should give Nathan a call.

Are we talking stage 2 hydrotech ( I think that's the name)

The one I witnessed went beyond stage II. We may be reading about it this year in a mag. Dark side may be building one too. Yes, wife doesn't need to know other than, "Honey, I'm having the motor linked and synched." Nathan @ Hydro-Tec can "link and synch" your motor.
