    Ranger Trail Trailer Brakes

I have a 2001 Ranger 205 VS and Ranger Trail Trailer (dual axel). The master cylinder went out. This was replaced a couple of weeks ago. There was so much air in the brake lines that they had to be purged. When I pulled the trailer home from the shop I noticed a lot of brake dust on the back wheels. The hubs were very hot to the touch. I checked the master cylinder and it was filled to the top with brake fluid. Says not to overfill. Would this keep the brakes from releasing completely?
Fishing season is just getting started and I will be using very often. Please let me know if anyone has had this problem.
