    Emergency tip for livewells

We figured out this weekend by chance as we were waiting to start a T with the livewell lids open: If you put the motor in reverse and goose it a little bit and keep backing up, it'll cause water to flow in through the overflows. Could be useful in a jam if you're pumps happened to quit working and you had fish and needed to fill your livewells...

At least it works on an 06 Stratos 201. Prob wouldn't work on every boat.

I think it works on mine to. Get a little water from time to time and couldn't figure out where it was coming from.

Yep, learned that many years back down on the Red River, I use it everynow and then just to rush fill after running in rough water if the wells get low.

nitro's do it as well.......just make sure you aren't using the livewell as storage......

also if you put a plug in overfill before a long run you won't loose much water. just remember to take it out when you arrive out of the long rough run
