Short story. I bought a 07 Z20 with a 225 ProXS at the end of December with 230 hours on it. It has run great all spring and summer till about a month ago when it started missing and dieing at idle. Holeshot and top-end were fine. Ordered new NGK plugs to install. Well on Friday afternoon a buddy of mine calls and wants to fish a tourney on Sunday. His boat is at a lake in the opposite direction and mine is handy. We will make about a 90 mile boat ride one way for the tourney. So, I go out to change the plugs. Either I ordered the wrong plugs or they sent me the wrong ones because the plugs are NGK IFR6J instead of IZFR6J. They are visually different. I call around to try to find some correct plugs and could not find any anywhere around. A search on the internet for cross reference plugs showed an Autolite plug that crossed. AutoZone had them so I bought 6. Autolite Iridium XP part number XP5405. Put them in and the boat ran and idled great. I am going to replace them with the correct NGK's when they come in, but this may save someone in a tourney situation one day. Take a look at my old plugs and you will know why I wanted them changed.
