When you redo an older rig y'all spend all that time digging out the old wet water logged foam when replacing rotton transoms, stringers etc. Why do you put new foam back in around all the new work y'all just did? Foam adds weight and can get wet again, right?
Why wouldnt you just skip that step leave the foam out,and have a lighter more efficient rig? Yes it may be a sound deadner, but it adds no strength. No foam to get wet again and ruin all that hard work.....Not being critical of anyone in general, just curious.
