I couldn't find anything about it on here so I did some oxidation removal research and found this "system". For those of you that already know about it sorry if it's a repeat. But it's an easy 3 step system. I'm selling my boat and want it to look good for the new buyer. The main thing bothering me was the cloudy / oxidation on the gelcoat of my red boat.
The first step is probably the most work intensive and most important. It's a chemical that is scrubbed on to remove the oxidation. Then you use the boat wash. The final step si to put on the restorer / sealer. It's as thin as water and goes on like a breeze. Like paint, the first coat is the hardest, and takes the most time. Subsequent coats get easier. The manual recommends 6-8 coats. I did a total of 7 coats.
The ENTIRE process took me only 2.5 hours on a 20' bass boat. I only did the top cap and that's all that was needed. Below it looked fine. The package cost about $60.00 and I got it at Boater's World.
If anyone wants a good product to make your boat snap this is it ! The manual that came with it is very detailed and even included FAQ's ...
