This is is mainly a smallmouth lake with few weeds, there are few largemouth but, IMO not worth targeting. Lots of shallow rock shoals and sunken islands. Very clear when boat traffic is low. concentrate on the shoals and rock piles early with flukes, jerkbaits topwaters etc. When the bite slows go to the bottom dragging tubes, jigs. Usually when you find one fish there's more in that area. Depth will vary depending on sun and boat traffic, which can get heavy in mid summer. It's a big lake 27miles long by about 6 wide and can get nasty quick. But a light breeze really helps the bite.Average smallie is about 2lbs but it will usually take 15-16lbs 6 fish to cash.![]()
Thanks,
I am primarily a largie guy but I appreciate the info.
