    2004 Johnson 175 HP ?'s

Hey guys, I've got a 2004 Johnson Bombardier 175 HP V6 2-Stroke Serial # 05052462, on a 2004 Stratos 285 Magnum Serial # GSN85422L304....I was wondering if their is such a thing as "High Performance" spark plug wires and spark plugs for my motor, If so what is the Gap supposed to be on the spark plug...Is there any simple add ons or things I can change to get better and more performance out of my motor?....Im also gonna change the lower unit fluid on it, what kind does it take and what is the best?....Also, my LOW OIL light keeps coming on and buzzing, but my oil resevoir is over 3/4 full, when it first did this I was low on oil, but when straight home and filled it up...Went back to the lake and it done it again and keeps doing it, I marked my reservoir and sure enough its using the oil...Somebody told me that it could be air locked????, the primer bulb is hard as a brick...If so, how do I un-air lock it?..lol....Thanks guys for any help or suggestions!!!!

Nope no magic bullet you have what you have a 175 HP motor. Spark plugs are Champion QL78YC's gapped at .030. If you are using oil then there is no "air lock" it sounds like the tank sensor is bad. One of two ways to fix the problem disconnect the wire from the tank and make sure the light goes out when the motor is running. You can leave it disconnected OR you can replace the sensor in the oil tank. You can try pulling the sensor out and cleaning it but generally it is replacement time. About $100.00 for a new one.

As far as LU fluid I use BRP Ultra HPF/XR you'll need two quarts as it take 33 oz.
