    ZX BILGE QUESTION

I HAVE 07 ZX190 AND IT HAS ONE 800 GPH BILGE PUMP, BUT MY CONTROL PANEL HAS CONTROLS FOR DUEL PUMPS. I KNOW THAT COULD BE THE WAY THEY ALL ARE, BUT CAN I PUT A Y IN THE PUMP OUT HOSE AND USE A 800 GPH AUTO PUMP WITH THE FACTORY PUMP?

Your factory pump should have an automatic float switch wired into it so there would be no need for another pump. At least that is the way my 2003 TZX190 is. The float switch is wired direct were it will come on anytime it is tripped even if the master power is turned off.

Yes it is a single pump but it works as a manual and auto. They wire a float switch into it so it will come on automatically anytime the float switch is tripped and you can also turn it on manually at the dash. If you just want a second bilge pump for peace of mind I can understand that but you should already have the auto set-up in there. As far as plumbing in a "Y" for a second pump....I don't see any reason it would not work. Just wire the other pump into the switch and run both hoses from the pumps to the "Y" and you should be good to go.
