    2.Just had our 60 E Tech fitted....Wahoooooooo..

Well, we have just had our e tech fitted and got the boat back in the water last night. It was dark down at the marina but we couldn't resist a run up and down the river. No engine noise, increased speed, beautifully smooth, everything we could have wished for, it feels great on the boat, if the reliability is as good as they say we'll be happy for a long time to come. Thanks for all your help on this Rusty, we are now converted.

    2 questions though.
    1. When moving in the tight spaces of the marina last night we felt that it was tricky getting her to throttle right down to a trickle speed. Does this ring a bell with anyone or do we just need to get used to it?
    2. Where can we get Evinrude baseball caps? Our dealer has never had them but on the dvd Rusty sent me the guys were wearing them and they looked pretty cool. Can I send away somewhere for a few?

Glad you have your E-Tec and Very glad you are happy with it.

Have the dealer check the throttle cable to make sure it is returning to the idle stop.......he can also set the idle speed in gear lower with the software.

Try this link for hats http://www.evinrude.com

The 60 Etec turns a large diameter prop which means that at idle it will be pushing more than your previous motor probably did.

It took me some time to adjust to my 60hp, 'specially when lining up to drive onto the trailer.

    Enjoy it
