    Help from a Tech,please

I have a '94 200 Johmson. Volt meter on dash reads about 17 volts, but voltage
at battery is 14.5. What is the problem, is the rectifier goning bad ?
    Thanks,Larry

sounds like volt meter on dash, can you put your test leads on the back of the dash meter??

Meter on the Battery is the best! Volt gauges are bad for going out.

Thanks Todd and CM. I'm glad it is a guage instead of a rectifier.
