    1999 FICHT 200

    <U>1999 Evinrude FICHT 200 H.P., E200FSLEEN, S# G 04656817</U>

    I bought this engine used 2 yrs. ago and have not had any problems with it. I just learned there was problem with fuel lines that resulted in some motors catching fire and exploding. There was a recall to fix the problem but I don't know if my motor was one of them. It is a white motor with a 20'' shaft and I'm wondering if it's a salt water model?

    Look at the bolts that fasten the fuel injector flange to the cylinderheads. If they have a 3/8" hex head, they are the old style. If they are 1/2" heads, it has been upgraded.

    Sorry to hijack post.... But would that also pertain to a 2000 150?

    Keep an eye on those bolts though. I had one break off even though they had been replaced. I replaced all of them again after the breakage. I think they get torqed to 24 ft lbs. if remembering right
