    Lower unit winterization question

I've only got a couple of hours at the most on my new lower unit. I was planning on changing the oil at about 10 hours vs. doing it yet this fall. Normally, I change it in the fall to make sure no water is present. Is it possible to inspect the lower unit to make sure there is no water in it, without changing the lower unit lube?

Yep just crack the bottom screw and if H20 comes out you got big problems, milky lesser problems, clear good to go problems. You don't need to let out much maybe a teaspoon full.
