Some history on these motors:
In 1991, they introduced the 60 degree "Eagle" 150-175 V6, that was also the last year for the 2.4 and 2.6L 90 degree cross-flow GT/XP 150-175 V6. The Eagle 60 degree motor remained the 150-175 hp motors until BRP dropped "big" motors from the Johnson Line (2004 or 5?). In 1995 the 90/115 joined the 60 degree line-up as a V4. Both these V4's and V6's have their "family tree branches" in the V4 75, 90, 115, 135, and V6 150, 175 Ficht and the current V4 115, and 2.6L V6 150, 150HO, 175 and 200 ETEC motors.
Whew....am I close?
Actually its "decendents" are the 60° FICHTs and E-TECs.
It's ancestor is the first V-4 50hp block from 1958.
