Shoot Thru Hull ducer on 95 Stratos Pro XL?

Any of you Stratos guys run one of these is so How good are they. Just installed HDS 8 with Structure Scan and installed the transom mount Ducer but it doesnt read bottom at high speed and I cannot move it down any cause of were my LSS1 Ducer is. So I'm thinking bout going to the shoot
thru hull just seeing if it is as sensitive.

Shoot thru is the way to go. You'll get better readings at speed, but you could still lose bottom readings at full speed. When the boat is up on the pad there's not much of it in the water, so losing bottom contact with the transducer is going to happen.

Ok I as thinking is lose some. Does anyone know anything about the hull of my boat and how much I would actually have to sand to get to the Bottom of it?

Did the same here. All you have to do is clean it enough so the epoxy will have a good surface to stick.

I have a shoot thru transducer in my 95 pro XL I get good readings at WOT, mounted it on the pad about 4 inches in front of the drain plug and between the plumbing for the 2 livewell drain-outs. I just lightly sanded the bottom of the transducer and the mounting spot on the hull and then cleaned both with acetone. The good news is that there is pretty good access to the pad. Just be careful not to get air bubbles in the epoxy when you mix it and have a brick handy to weigh down the transducer once you get it in place.
