Ok, sorry if this is a really newbie question, but I can't seem to find an answer. Whenever I take my boat out when its cold (mid 30's to 40's), I have the hardest time getting it up on plane. I give it throttle and it starts out like normal but just as it gets on plane, the engine jumps to about 8500+ rpm's (almost like spinning tires in a car... alot of noise but no distance), the font end stands up, and then it chokes off. Now this only happens for about the first 10 minutes of 'trying' to get going. The rest of the day things go as normal. The engine is a 2007 Yamaha 150 Vmax on a 2007 stratos 285 XL. Any suggestions? So do I need to let it warm up for like 10 minutes first or something? I never see anyone else doing it....
