i put in a Flatfoot in my 285 and it is VERY sturdy aluminum. I was pleasantly pleased when I received it and took it out of the box.
I would not go with a plastic foot tray. I installed an aluminum tray from ComforTroll into a "99 Stratos 201. They were about $10-$15 higher, but easy installation. I thought it came out great and it absolutely saves my back from hurting!

I went with a Pro Control Tray and can say they stand behind thier product %100. Even 4years later.
I put in a pro control. I haven't had a single problem. mine was somewhere in the $90 range delivered directly from Mark Miller
I also went with the Pro-Control (BBC Sponsor) and have been very pleased. Mark Miller will get you taken care of.
