Wondering if someone might be able to help me out, I posted this in the Yamaha forum, but it looks like they only talk about the SHO right now.

I have an 06 225 HPDI and when I take off it sounds like it's starving for fuel. Once up on plane it runs fine, 5900 RPM and doing about 70mph, idle seems to be fine, no hicups or any other sound out of the ordinary, it's just when taking off. Also if I feather the throttle and slowly get up on plane then it works just fine, scratching my head on this one.
I just had it in for service and they changed the plugs, water seperator filter in boat, another filter (can't remember which one off hand), compression test was excellent on all cylinders.
Also this started happening this season.
