Was out fishing went to take off motor bogged down then it jumped on plane and ran fine after that rest of the day. She is running 71.8 at 5400 RPMS is that good for this motor? I think I can get more just have not pushed it I have a Bass cat Cougar?
What year model? We run around 78mph at 5800rpm I need to run 6000 rpms but have not done much of that and don't remember what speed it was when it didHad my eyes on where I was going and and it's ruff on a old man eyes at that speed not counting how much my butt was holding on the seat
The bogging might have been because you needed to make sure you pump the fuel bulb up hard and it should be fine the rest of the day.

2004 hpdi that speed is a full tournament load and two guy 210 + .
You are probably going to have to do some maintenance like filters, plugs,etc,etc.
But first check your set up on the "Bass Boat Set Ups" forum and the Bass Cat forum here on the BBC.
You will need to post your engine, year, prop pitch, prop to pad measurement..rpms and speed...etc... to get some good answers.
Also right now the Texas heat is reducing your hp by about 6% as well. That's a loss of 15 hp..
