Leak in remote oil tank line

I went to my garage the other day and saw a big puddle of oil under the boat where the bilge drain is. The motor oil from remote tank leaked into the bilge and out of the drain. The oil hose has a splice or some kind of plastic tubing connecting between two hoses, has deteriorated. I have no problem replacing that tubing, the question is...do i need to bleed the line to get air bubble out?

Take a look at this link. It has the procedure to purge air out of your oil lines. Thanks to Don Weed @European for all his help.

If i remember right, you fill your tank with oil, take the hood off and on your oil pump (port side down toward the pan) there is a small screw at the top, you back that screw out some, start your engine and when oil runs out of that screw hole then you tighten the screw back up again. You should be allright then.
