this spring:
new power pack, didn't replace the EET
decarbed Sunday, ran it with old plugs, new plugs yesterday, QL78YC @.30
timing roller is flush with timing lever
new fuel ball/primer, fuel arrow pointing in correct direction
have the correct gasket (brown)
ran it yesterday, solo, bogging coming out of the hole, push in key, bogs worse, run back and hit the ball, it is soft, prime it, seems to help get on plane, not 100% though. It does sneeze, cough and sputter at idle. idles up with fast lever, seems to die under load
gas is fresh with evinrude 2/4 conditioner in it
I plan on changing the optical sensor and have looked into fuel pumps this morning. Looking for any insight to check before "fix"
I had to loosen my throttle cable to adjust the timing roller, could I have worsened the setting if I didn't set the throttle back to org.?
I haven't checked the cylinder head temps and have Quicksilver TCW III (BPS) oil in the reservoir.
Thank you![]()
