Anybody near Guntersville or Smith lake??

I need somebody near Guntersville or Smith lake that can help me with my setup on a 97 Gambler 209 TE. I'm not sure if its set up right or not. I haven't made any mesurements to see yet. I cracked the blade on the trophy plus 26p the first time i took it out. Paid $500 for a new one and took it out once, being careful not to trim it up too high. Got home and had a small crack on one blade, I went to the dealer and they said bring it Tues. and let them take some pics and get with merc and that they were pretty sure they'd give them credit and I could get my money back or give me credit for it. I'm gonna get my money and order one online, it seems alot cheaper that way. I DEFINATELY want a different brand!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I took the boat out fri after stopping by the dealer(they told me it was ok just dont run very fast and it wouldnt get any worse) I never ran it over 3000 rpm, got home, a new tiny crack on the next blade over from the first one........These things are pure JUNK!!!!! how are you guys running them and not having probllems???? lol Anyway, a few guys on here have recommended a TXP, Tempest and Bravo 1. How bout that Fury people are talking about? I fish alone about 50% of the time or more and wont have a big huge load unless one certain friend goes lol. Anybody that can help me I'd sure appreciate it. I'd take some pics of my setup but my dig. cam is in the bottom of the lake.......Thanks!!!

    Get a PowerTec TRO4

2nd that The TRO4 is a good little prop and not very expensive.. Another good prop that comes with a lifetime guarantee is a TXP.. The Bravo1 as long as it has Mercure Marine on it and not Mercursier would be a good choice but not as fast as the first two and it will have to have work done to it for holeshot and top end performance.

The first thing you need to do Keven is measure your propshaft to pad height; could be that you're running very high. The Trophy Plus props work very well and are one of the most popular props but don't always do well if you're running it very high.

Another question, I'm not gonna be running wide open much because of gas prices, probably about 40 mph or so, maybe even 30 or so some. Will a 4 blade keep me on plane easier at low speeds?

The Bravo 1 would probably be the best for low speed .. A four blade should be a little better than a three blade..
