spark plug question

I have a 1978 Evinrude 115 hp model#115899c serial#J0001894
What brand spark plug do you rec. that I use and I also need to know what size gap. thanks for the help.

QL77JC4 gapped at .030.

Since this is a spark plug question thread, I figured I'd piggyback on:

The plug chart says QL77JC4 gapped at 0.030 for a 1985 Johnson 140. Does this also apply if the VRO is disconnected?

Yep, it even applies if the motor has been repainted or if the prop has been replaced.
