What is safe operating temp on my 07 225 HO

Just got my I Command hooked up and noticed my motor temps.
I do a lot of idling and looking at my sonar(structure Fishing). I noticed that the temp on my motor would rise to 165+/- and one time went to 173 deg. With just a few rpms it will slowly drop, and when I'm running down the lake at 4000 rpm's the temp is 125-135. Is this where it should be,

Those temps are normal. Idle temp should be at least 160F on the port and starboard side at idle. The engine doesn't go into SAFE until either 194F or 212F depending on engine RPM. You can have your dealer install a water pressure transducer and then you can display water pressure on the I-Command gauge if you want.

Thanks. I'm thinking about the water pressure sender but the $150 to $170.00 has a strong hold on me at this time. Will my temp , with good water pressure, be more at high rpm's or at long idles ?

Temps would be higher at idle speeds, cause when wot the valve will blow open and let more water thru. The gurus will correct me if I'm wrong.
