Anyone towing with a 2008 or later Tundra with fatory tow package?

I have the 7 round to 5 flat adapter but can't back up on an incline or level ground. Do I need a special fuse or relay to make the reverse brake disengage function? Thanks.

I have the exact same rig an 07 Tundra. My plug is 7 round with a five adapter in the middle.. Mine works great.It comes off of your back-up lights Make sure your BU lights work..You may have a blown fuse.Set the brake ,with key on and in reverse. and use a tester to make sure its hot(when you put your truck in reverse)

I have an 2008 Tundra, but I have free backing surge brakes. So I can't relate to your problem.

drive 2008 crewmax tundra , no issues backing up my 2009 Champ or the previous boat 2005 Stratos everything works as advertised, sounds like a trailer issue.
