2008 and later Tundra with factory H.D. tow package

A question for members that have a 2008 and later Tundra that have the factory round 7 pin tow option. I have the 7 round to 5 flat adapter but cannot back up on level ground or up an incline. Do I need to add a special fuse or relay to make the reverse brake disengage function? Thanks.

I have no issues with mine. I have an 08 with tow package for now

one of your prongs is either bent or the plug is not in far enough to hit the actuator, spray with some di-electric spray and check prongs, mine did this once or twice, hope this helps
