1996 Champ 221 DSC ELITE

I am replacing my trolling motor with a Minn Kota Fortrex. The guys i am buying it from are telling me that the 45inch shaft should be plenty. I fish all different types of lakes but have been wondering if the 52 inch would be better for me. Does anyone know if my 221 sits too high and should i go with the 52 even though it may hang off the boat a bit more? Thanks.. i need to let these guys know asap to change my order if i should.. thanks for the help.

My 45 works most of the time. There are days I wish I had longer one, if I had it to do over again it would be a 52.

thanks guys. i went ahead and ordered the 52... it was a clear decision! Can't wait to get on the lake and try it out. Keep up the posts i really enjoy the forum.
