Hello to all and thanks for the use of the board, I recently aquired a 191 DCX with a 8" Rite Hite Manual jack plate. Mercury 200 EFI. This is my third champion and this one is the first with a Jack Plate. The splash well has a plug that allows the water to run out the bottom, that again a first for me and Champions.

The question is two fold,

1. I have to feather the throttle to keep water from coming over the back.
2. When standing in the back of the boat the water nearly comes over the top of the transome ( splash well area) 2 people in the back it is over the meatl end caps that hold the guard rail in place.

Is this normal? Transome is sealed well, the Bow of this rig does sit high in the water as well. Your thoughts?
