Finally got my 1995 Ragin' Cajun with Johnson Fast Strike 150 last weekend. The boat started up on 2nd try with no worries. However I noticed a stream of water running down the a metal plate supporting the driver's console area. I found the stream to originate from a black hose which appears to run from the stern towards the bow. The hose is flimsy (not very thick), maybe 1/4" inner diameter. The water coming out of the hose after some time was rather warm/hot. Water only came out if the engine was running.
My first question is-does this sound like a 'factory' line for either Cajun or Johnson? Seems odd to have water running towards the bow of the boat.
I bought the boat used last season, ran fine all season-never had this issue. No livewells forward of the line-just a split rear set. I have water/air temp gauge @ driver's console but I'm doubting this line ran to that as the gauge seemed to work the day in question.
I'd appreciate any help on this issue. I hate to miss out on any fishing in this weather!
