sport master vs merc 200 LU

Ok, so here is the deal. I got out this weekend and thought we would ski and wake board a bit. I started out by wanting to change my prop. I had a left over ski prop from my old merc, 200 and thought maybe I could just change the inserts and it go right on. WRONG. Can you guys tell me what I need to do or change to be able to use this prop on my sport master???? I really like the prop for slow wake board speeds, and if I do drive it hard I can still fish. It is a good summer prop for fun and close by fishing. I really don’t want to go buy a new one if I don’t need to. PLEASE HELP!

Is your SM a fat shaft and your prop is for a small shaft the reason it wont fit?

i dont know. i stop by one of our prop shops at lunch. showed the ole boy what i had, he too a hammer, knocked out a black plastic insert, and said there ya go.

im good to go now.

I dont know about that. If its got a square bore hub, which it sounds like it does because you mentioned a plastic insert. You will need to use your fat shaft hub kit from your other prop and insert it into your ski prop.
