1992 Ranger 481v

I got a 92 481v a little while back. Anybody out there fish this boat and any likes or dislikes. Id like to hear both.

I had a 91 481V I bought used. I loved it - good ride, stable platform and, the boat ran 63 with tournament load. Only downside to the boat was the middle front compartment door was kinda small. Very minor to everything else I like about it. Fish out of it for 7yrs, it was a great boat for its size.

A buddy of mine had one, great boat. If your's doesn't have a jackplate, I would recommend one. It made a big difference in the performance and ride.

I have a 90 model and love it . I have a jack plate on mine and the ride is fine .

Thanks guys it has a jack plate. Funny you mention that lid being small. It came off today all the screws worked out. My boat has a extended deck, I dont know if its factory or not but it gives added storage and standing room.

I have a 92 481v with a Mercury 175 XRi on it and 6" jack plate. Runs 60-65 GPS. Has the factory extended deck. I love the boat but just boat a 21.5" fish and ski yesterday so inwill sadly be selling this one. Good luck and enjoy.

I have the 91 481V and love the boat! Bought it quite used, but it is paid for and fishes very nice. I have a 1994 Mercury 150 on it with a 6" jackplate. Motor might be a little tired but I can hit the upper 50's yet, so I am happy.
