    Square Bill Rod???

Which rod out of the ones I own would you throw a sqaurebill on?

Mojo Jerkbait 6'6 M Fast with 12lb mono (use for topwater and jerkbaits)

Mojo Spinnerbait 7'0 MH Fast with 12lb Seagar (spinnerbaits, plastics etc)

BPS Crankin Stick 7'0 M Fast with 15lb Seagar (red eye shad mostly and small divers)

Any ideas? I hate to make things complicated as Im just starting to fish tournaments (non boater and mostly fish farm ponds, no boat). justb because a rod says intended for this doesnt mean i cant use it for other things.

A RC 1.5 on the crankin stick ans 2.5 and above on the SB rod. Most of my heavier SQ bills I throw on a 6'9" MH spinnerbait rod that has a little tip.

I throw mine on a Falcon Jerkbait rod. Only difference is I use 12lb flouro. Helps me feel every wobble of the bait (that's why I prefer it over mono).

I like a crankin stick because I drag my square bills through trees and along the bottom. Need some backbone and tough line.

It really depende. I throw them on rip rap with a 7'med and 15 mono but if I'm going through alot of wood, I will go to a 7' med heavy on 65 braid.

Looks like general casting and winding the jerkbait will do fine and then use the crankin stick around cover.

Thanks guys! open to ther suggestions as well. Too bad I need mono on the jerkbait rod as it doubles as topwater rod

If you're going to be fishing the thick stuff, I'd go with the spinnerbait rod. That rod has a little tip. I'd throw it on 20 lb line.

If you're in open water, it doesn't really matter a great deal. I'd go with the Crankin Stick but I'd go down to 10 lb line. You'll get better action on the bait.
