    Max RPM's 150 Fast Strike

What is the maximum rpm's for 93' 150 Fast Strike ? What rpm seems to perform best (as a general rule) I have mine at 5500 with a 24 Raker. Also, how does hot weather and high humidity affect speed and rpm's ?

    Re: Max RPM's 150 Fast Strike (354ranger)

according to the manual I have for fast strike Full throttle operating range is 4500 to 5500 RPMS. usually the sweet spot is between those RPMS as it is when you are on plane but not straining the motor and not watching the gauge drop at an alarming rate ( ) usually about 50 mph is a good cruising speed now if it is on a ranger all bets are off , what I told you on speed and sweet spot pertains to non lead sled boats( )
as for weather usually your preformance suffers a bit, then when it is cold or cool and low humidity, you may lose a couple of MPH and it may be sluggish , so be ready. My 200 is running a little slower than at the cooler weather this spring, still getting full load with my big butt about 65 mph with no jackplate and a 24 raker but mine also wants to run at 6000 which I have to hold back on the hot foot.
    Hope this helps a little.
