Catskills, NY Hudson River lodging

I'm looking for hotel recommendations in the Catskills, NY area. I have a tournament there and I have never been.
Must have parking for truck w/boat.

I have fished quite a few there...... I go to the red ranch motel, nothing special, but small, good parking, a pizza place nextdoor. The one by the thruway exit is a nightmare tourny morning, I think its the quality. one knucklehead and the parking lot is jammed.

I have stayed in Saugerties, at the Howard Johnson, also which is fine.

Red ranch is not bad . The quality inn is way overpriced . Stay away from Peloke's ( may not be the right spelling) members of my old club stayed there a few times . Dirty and full of bugs . May even be bedbugs now .

there really isn't much there as far as quality places. Agree with above, Pelokies is a joke. Catskill is an hour and half away for me so I never room there. Maybe look into some of the neigboring cities.

thanks for the info! I usually try to pick a place that has the best parking for my boat.
