My wife and I are visiting her grandparents mid-February near Fort Myers, FL. More specifically, Upper Captiva island. I would like to try fishing a little bit but I have NO knowledge or equipment. I can't afford a charter trip. I have all bass fishing equipment, what lures could I use? Can anyone give me some tips? Or better yet, take me out fishing for a few hours?

Salt or freshwater? Depending on when i might be able to get you out but i fish only bass!

post in florida section! I live in lehigh and have taken out 3 guys from here lately and if we can time it out would be willing to do the same for you I enjoy good company and seeing different ways to fish. I would say im me closer and will let you know what is hot.
Out on the island will be saltwater, her grandparents winter in LaBelle. I'm not sure our schedule but I will IM you closer to when we leave. We get to Ft Myers 2/8 in the evening, staying til 2/12.
