I just ordered one. Anyone have any first hand knowledge if they are as nice as they seem?

Anyone compared them to a Core 50MG7 and Steez? I would be interested to hear as I have a couple of Cores and Steez.
No left hand version offered yet so I went with a Core.

</td></tr></table>The JDM version has a lefty. I'd take the Core or a Pixy though!
I have (2) Steez and (2) Core 50 mg's now so I will be able to compare. I cant stand throwing heavier reels anymore. My heaviest reel I use now is 5.6 oz. My old Fuego's and TD Sol's are 7.4 oz and you can't believe how heavy they feel when you pick up the lighter reels.

Too late to ask that now...you already ordered it!Seriously, I have to believe a Revo is going to be a great reel.

Honestly for the money I think they are junk. I have seen quite a few with drag problems. Literally can lock down the drag and still pull the line out on the ones I have seen. I think the Lews reels are much better for the money.
I don't like Revos, had a couple and sold them. If you have 3 or 4 hundred to spend on a reel go with Shimano. Better yet buy 2 or 3 Lews![]()

I have said it before.... It's still a revo.

That's awesome . I would buy one at that price, too. I just don't see spending more than $200.00 on a reel , but I guess if I made a million dollars in a tournament, maybe I would.

Don’t Lews and Revos come out of the same factory?

Rob if you picked up an MGX you would change your mind about the revos. The Lews are the best bang for the buck in my opinoin though.
BTW thanks for selling me those revos![]()
I am not knocking the Revo's by any means I really like the SX,STX, and Premiers. I do fish with Lews now, because I felt like I was getting a better real for less money. They might be made in the same factory, but I you can tell they are different reels.
The poster ask about the MGX and I just know from first hand experience that I had drag issues with the 3 I have used. I also have buddies who had the same problem. The drag all the way locked down and you could still strip drag with your hands. These were the first batch that came out of the factory so maybe that has been corrected. I think the Revo is a great real just not impressed with the MGX.
