I may have only ran about 6 total hours, haven't hit a thing and can't seem to keep on the water. Ghosts. 225 johnson and 400 javelin. Any ideas on why?

Model # helps a lot! My guess is that the gear set was replaced not the LU, the housing may be twisted and needs to be replaced your dealer should have a tool to check it out.
Had a reman lower unit replaced on it. The dealer has been through it numerous times.
ttt......Numbers, help these guys A LOT!!!!
Get the dealer to look at the water holes that run thou the moter to the lower unit.
My merk 225 did the same thing dealer cleaned out holes never had this problem again.

I just reworked mine if they dont get pinion gear assemly shim within .ooo it want last long. footy
