I have a 1995 evinrude intruder,When i go to put it on the trailer as soon as i throttle it the motor kills. I would like to change the fuel filter if i could find it, also i have heard u can clean the carberators by spraying a carb cleaner in the air filter, do u just spray it in the air filter? go ahead and lol i am a rooky at all this. any help i would appreciate it.
NOOOOOOOO on the carb cleaners!!!! They will break down the lubrication properties in the oil. There was a post just recently you may have to archive back a couple pages, about traileritis, although I don't think it pertains to your model engine, the gurus will set me straight . Carb cleaning usually requires tear down and cleaning ,soaking and making sure all jets are clear!
