Guys,
I have a '04 Johnson 150 and the check engine light has come on twice since I had the boat. The light comes on for a few seconds and goes back out. Both times this has happened I have been @ WOT , 1/4 tank or less of fuel and in rough waters. Should I be concerned of this issue?
I had the same thing happen and had to pump the primer bulb a few times. Problem solved. For me anyway. Hasn't happened again.
i have had this problem for over a year now .everything has been changed in the boat fuel pickup tube,vacaum switch,primer bulb etc ,still have the problem it is in the shop right now for the same problem this is the last time it will be in there if it is not fixed i will be looking for a new motor !! you need to get it checked because you can loose you motor to this problem it is a fuel restriction problem any question feel free to contact me and i will give you some insite on the problem dont need to post here if you know what i mean
Chadc77, does the horn come on when the light comes on?
If so, it may be as simple as the plug loose in the back of the guage.

are you talking about the boat horn or the alarm buzzer?
No the back of the check engine gauge or the check engine Tach which ever you have, make sure it is seated. CM
Could this be caused by the anti siphon valve at the gas line hook up at the top of the fuel tank? (Just a thought by a person who shouldn't touch a wrench.)
Chadc77, The next time you hear that horn, drop back to 4000 rpms and see if it quits if it comes back when when you go back to wot then I would check the anti syphon valves and throw em away!!! The worst thing Stratos ever did!
